Getting Hand Brushed Gloss Off My Portafold

Post by Grumm » Tue, 20 May 2008, 7:32 pm

Good evening ladies and gents, I thought it was about time I threw my hat into the ring! :D
It's a bit quiet in this forum, but I am hoping that there is a lot of technical knowledge out there............
My Portafold has at least two, if not three, layers of hand brushed gloss paint on it - it is the usual stuff that you buy in the local DIY shop.
What's the best stuff to get it off without melting it?
Anyone stripped the paint off and how hard is it to get off?
I was thinking od something like Nitromors, but it would have to be formulated for glassfibre.
Any ideas?

Check out the conversation that we had a little while ago about painting and stripping, hopefully it will be useful:
