My Portafold Restoration

I bought my Portafold at the in of August and have been gradually restoring it. Other projects have got in the way a bit, but we're back on track again and we're heading to Stoneleigh on Sunday to the Restoration show to pick up some rubber trim for all the edges.

Hello

Just letting you know that the Flickr page has been updated with new photos of the shiny new paint job. Very pleased, though I'm aware it does look a bit like a Wall's Ice Cream Van...a look I was sort of going for. Sadly the photos are a bit out of order, but that's Flickr for you.

Thanks Matthew for letting me know about the lights. I was thinking of going 'original', but it's been so much fun to design my own thing, something I don't normally get to do with classic cars (unless you're an ace mechanic, which I am not). I do quite like the BMW lights - they're certainly unique on a Portafold!

The Portafold is finally finished! Just a few aesthetic touches (such as the table) to go, but otherwise she's ready to hit the road. Can't wait for the showing season to start (and the rain to stop!!!)

It was a real labour of love, especially over the Christmas period, but I'm really happy with the result. Just got to fit the towbar to my Triumph Herald now.
