Does anybody know where i can get 4 roof fixings (the ones that are held in place by 4 screws in each) from?

Not sure what you mean. Do you mean the metal 'bits' that are fixed to the roof which have to be pulled down into the jaws of the clamp 'bits' (which are on top of the end walls)?

Roof fixings

Good question Inky, I'd allowed myself to forget that I need a couple of those as well. The springs have broken in mine.

Looking at them, I'm sort-of wondering if I couldn't modify an old-fashioned garden-gate latch, to do this job......sounds slightly barmy I s'pose, it's just the unit always reminds me of gate latches. It might just be simpler to make new springs; however, those blade-type springs are well-known for giving trouble in car-door mechanisms, etc.

It would be dead easy to make lowering the roof a real pain, getting these wrong.

I'm a bit reluctant even to get round to removing one, as its loss renders the caravan un-erectable, unless risks are taken.

Does anyone possess any photos of these latches as I don't appear to have these on my unit at all, and if they're an integral part...I'm rather concerned!!
Thanks.
