I'm on the case with this, I don't see why there shouldn't be at least a couple of loos over our side, bearing in mind all the classic cars are also in our field. Assuming of course that the layout stays the same as this year.

If you want a particular one just for our use then I can find out how much one would cost and then the key can be shared among the 'shareholders'.
txfsealord wrote:Would it be possible to have a bit more field as well please Matt? Both times we've been to this show, we've been pretty dense-packed together, I've thought.
We can have as much space as we want, I just have to mark it out when I get there Thursday evening. (We had 100' by 110' this year.) Problem is knowing how much space to mark out, where to put everyone, and how to lay out the stand so it looks like it has been organised and it's ergonomic/welcoming to the public. Plus, it's also a case of keeping everyone 'together' so they feel like they're on a stand, and not so spread out that you have to shout to talk to your neighbours. Whilst making sure sufficient fire-breaks are in place between everyone of course!

I should explain, a few of the Victory Wheelers 'indulged' in a few pints of Black Rat scrumpy and ended up having to sleep it off in their caravans.
I should also mention that they didn't offer to bring any back to me on the stand! Probably just as well actually...

Matt, we would never have managed to carry it that far without spilling it.
The path back was very hazardous, with grass to contend with and a gateway to pass through, not to mention it zig zagged most of the way as well

It is looking unlikely that we will be able to attend for 2012 as it clashes with our family holiday. If we do get home early though we might pop up for a day, but not to stay over.

Hi Matthew,

Put us down for the White Waltham Gathering this year, called as a visitor last year and it looked so much fun. I'm looking forward to joining you all this year.

Hi Matt, Put Sandy and me down - we will have the Cheltenham, but our friend Jan will be taking the Portafold, so can you put her down as well (we haven't sold it - just on permanent loan!)

The organisers have recently brought in a £5 minimum charity donation for entry to the show. But as I have been promoting the show since last September as a free show for everyone exhibiting on the stand, the organisers have agreed that we can retain our free entry for this years show. I will in exchange be rattling a collection tin around the stand on the weekend to collect from anyone willing to give.

So to confirm, the weekend is still completely free, and anyone who has been to the show will agree that it has more entertainment laid on than a lot of shows which charge a lot of money to get in. Plus, they're ramping up the music and entertainment even more than last year. Should be a great show.

Update: Private portaloos have been arranged for our stand. Anyone who would like to buy a share in them will have access to a key to one of them. Cost is looking like it'll be around £7-£8 per person for the weekend, (depending on final number of shareholders). In my eyes a small price to pay for a toilet that will be close-by, cleaner, sweeter smelling and kitted out with toilet paper and hand sanitizer.

Let me know if you'd like to join the 'toilet club'
