Hmmm, now I see where I went wrong - I thought scratching around outside with a bloody-minded Portafold, in the rain and the wind, was the accepted Portafold initiation right
Jan - I presume that's 'Viktor-the-Volvo' - the trike makes my Rover seem a bit tame

How about foam-sandwich construction? I appreciate that it still involves resin and mat to finish it off, but you could shape the pieces of foam to suit, stick them together (with a glue gun I think) before glassing it to finish. I'm tempted to powerwash an area of the quilting to see if it will shift any of the emulsion - it can't do any more harm.......... can it?

and the interior is devoid of anything that can be damaged.
