Hello Mathew, Thanks for your swift reply, I presume mine are the short stub as they don't stick out much however the hubcaps have a very deep dish on them. I have two wheels with three circular nipples, for want of a better word, on them to hold the hubcaps on. On the subject of wheels is it early ...

Anybody breaking a Portafold or Ansfold?

Hello all,

I am looking for on wheel stud and nut for the nearside wheel, yes, the one that unscrews the wrong way!!

They are easy to take out as they are a push fit so if someone was breaking one it wouild not be hard to do. this will save me changing the other three to something else.

Hello Steve, Thanks for that I think I will just stick to the way "Mr. Portafold" intended, keep the 10" wheels and see what happens when I start using the van this year it is always something I can experiment with in the future. Will be starting the final coat of International paint this week so ho...

Hello all,

Thanks for all your assistance on this, I take it then that any Hillman Imp 12" wheel would fit any Portafold, does this have any adverse effect on the ride height, handling, rubbing on wheel arches etc.

Hello Mick,

Thanks for that, I don't know is the short answer but hopefully someone will read this and enlighten us. I think the 12" wheels look better proportion wise as the 10" are just a bit too small for the wheel arches.

Will you be taking your van to the Nationals in July?

Painting my Portafold

Hello all, Finally got round to painting the Portafold after much research decided to brush paint it with International Toplac boat paint. Finished the first coat in two days now need to let it harden so that it can be rubbed down for the final coat. I found the best method is to work with someone a...

Hello,

Are the 12" wheels Mini wheels? If so, are they from an early Mini or a Morris Minor?

Awning rails

Hello,

Does anyone know where you can buy new awning rails for the Portafold?

They are offset so that they can be screwed onto the van.
