I'm really sorry about this but...

Following up on my original enquiry about Tatton Park I phoned the office to request an entry form so I could finalise my entry for a club stand, only to be told:

"We've got a waiting list of clubs that want to have stands, but we might be able to get you a stand within the next few years as we try to rotate some of the clubs that attend."

So even though I was told that having a stand was totally possible, they're now saying that there's virtually no chance of having a stand this year after all. What a waste of time and effort. I have to say the organisers of Tatton Park (Cheshire Auto Promotions) are one of the most unorganised outfits I've ever had to deal with.

I'm now on the hunt for another show 'up North' that are able to give us a club stand 100%, with no fake promises. I can't go trying to organise stands for shows when the organisers don't know whether they'll have room for us.

Rant over...

Hi Woodie,

Sounds like a good 'un to me. We'll doubtless be at Harewood with the Minor club; we usually camp over the full 4 days in the Ansfold, for their National Rally. I'll watch this space!

Hello Jan and Dave,

We have also been to Woodvale quite a few times but normally only on the Sunday with a classic car.
I agree with you there is something there for everyone. Last year they seemed to have made even more space than before and looked like plenty space for more stands. I have not seen a Portafold at Woodvale when I have been, but have seen occasional classic caravans on show.
They charge £50 for public camping, I would hope that this would not apply to people on a classic caravan stand. By the way Tatton are charging £20 for camping this year for exhibitors this is the first time in 24 years.

regards
Len

Whilst I'd love to get right up to Merseyside or Yorkshire, I think they might be just that bit too far for me. But, I have said that I'd have a stand a bit further south at the Stapleford Miniature Railway, Stapleford Park, Melton Mowbray on August Bank Holiday weekend. This is the world record breaking attempt to get the most classic caravans in one place.
