In case anyone is interested I have two caravans, an early (maybe 1957) Portafold and an Eccles. Last summer I bought a new project in the form of a very rare Eccles 16c. It can be seen at http://www.flickr.com/photos/52222710@N08/sets/
I will add photos as I can get work done. The roof has to come off to have the timbers re-steamed and set. Plenty to do! :D

Wow!! It's wonderful, there is a restored one that regularly visits our local steam rally on the Isle of Wight and I have always admired it! It will look fabulous when complete and well worth the restoration! What a fantastic time capsule!!

Hi Bigbird,
I think the one you see on the Isle of Wight is a 1930 Shadow owned by Keith Laidlow. Do you have a picture? If so please send to george53@tiscali.co.uk and I'll send you one back. Many thanks!

Hi again, the one that I saw was owned by someone from the Mainland, I'm at the Steam up again this year, so if it is there, I'll take some pictures and get some details!!
