Tow Hitch and Brake

Post by 3commando » Tue, 12 Jul 2011, 12:08 pm

HI all. I have just acquired a second Porta and it is in need of an overhaul of the towing brake mechanism, after it having been stood for some time. Does anyone have any literature, or recommendations on how best to do this? The handle operation is fine, but there is no forward and backward movement on the hitch, to operate the brakes when towing. Thanks

Neville,

Have you seen the downloadable Rubery Owen instructions on the site?

http://www.portafold.co.uk/servicing.html

They may be helpful, even if you don't have the exact same trailer chassis.
