Early Portafold for sale - NOW SOLD

Hi all,

I've decided that I'm not going to get time to finish my early tubular chassis Portafold.
I am guessing the year is around 1959 but it is a guess. The chassis number ends in 69 but I am sure that is too late for the tubular chassis.

The roof was refurbished and resprayed by a local car body shop. It is not perfect but all the corners have been rebuilt (which is where they normally go).
I have the handles and catches I just have not refitted them yet.
The exterior is okay it was hand painted some time in the past and if you want this to be a very showy van then it would need rubbing down and re-spraying.
The wheels appear to be original and include the very rare original hub caps.
The interior is bare, I do however have the cushions that came with it when I got it (see last picture) and they will go with the van. The sink and cooker unit shown on the floor go with it as well.
When I got it someone had stuck carpet to everything and polystyrene roof tiles to the sides. I have been working on removing all the remnants of these and that's where it is today.
It has a new jockey wheel.
It also comes with an awning. I have never tried to put it up and to be honest it looks like there's at least 1 pole missing. The top runner that was on the roof has been removed (as part of the refurbishment) and I think I still have it somewhere, but it's a standard piece of runner that you could buy from a caravan shop.

In terms of immediate work:
1) Interior (obviously !)
2) The lower rear door handle is loose and will come undone when towing (I used some duck tape to hold it shut when I brought it home).
3) There are no keys for the top or bottom door.

Nothing else would be needed to able to use this, and it has never leaked.

Post me a message if you're interested.

From the info I've gathered so far all the tubular chassis Portafolds are pre 1967, how far back I'm still not too sure but 1960 is possible.
