This is now the latest 'normal' production Portafold I have on my database, it's from 1975 and is in remarkably sound condition with only two areas of the roof needing attention. It's been dry stored in a barn for many years and it's possible that it's only had the one owner from new.

I don't normally give my opinion on Portafolds (to keep my neutrality) but I've seen this one in the flesh and it really would only need a few weekends work in order to use get this up and running and usable.

The inside will need a clean-down, the original quilting is in great condition and will look great after being cleaned with a damp cloth and a little soapy water, a bit of fresh paint below the shelf line and on the ceiling, add some new cushions, all ready to go. The original orange curtains are in great condition with not a moth hole in site!

The outside will need the mud washed off it (the current owner said he will do this before anyone views it), new tyres (current owner was going to get some fitted) and everything oiling up. But I could see that under the mud the GRP was in really good condition and was actually shiny even though it had dirt on it. Once cleaned it will shine beautifully.

The roof has a damaged bit on the tip of the near-side fin and has a crack on the rib/fin about two thirds of the way down down the off-side. Nothing that couldn't be sorted out in a few hours by a glass-fibre specialist/boat repairer.

The running gear and chassis seemed in good order but I couldn't get underneath it to check as I was wearing a suit at the time!

It's being sold by Phil, it's located just outside Taunton in Somerset and he can be reached on xxxxx xxxxxx.
