Towing weights...

I have been trying to determine the max towing weight for my car, but now I have found some details I am even more confused :? For a "trailer" without brakes it says 600lbs max, or without brakes 1300lbs. I thought brakes were supposed to help the car / safety so why aren't the figures the other way...

To garage or not to garage...?

I have the chance of renting a garage for a few months over the winter.

The "fold" is currently stood in front of the house with a large tarpaulin over it. Can it get frost damage during the winter or should I save my funds towards the refurb and leave her where she is? :?

"original" awning?

You mention that's an "original" - I'm really pleased to hear that is the case as I bought a Portafold a few months ago and mine looks like that!

mishaps...

It's more the thought of it twisting /cracking I am worried about, and the hinges. They look OK but I am beginning to learn I can take things apart quite well - it's the putting them back together so they work as well as they did that tends to be the issue! I haven't used the Portafold yet due...

Guidance needed re refurb

Not sure if this is general discussion (put here as I'm asking for opinions rather than posting anything useful  ) I am debating whether it is worth the effort to take "Poppy" off her chassis and clean it up - or is it likely this will do more harm than good? The alternative would be to try an...

I'm glad it's not just me....

Did you get the leading from a craft shop - as I would like to do that for my Portafold, "Poppy" too!!! I love the pictures of the Portafolds which the clean, crisp white and blue interiors on here but strange things have been happening. Before I even got hold of mine I started doing patchworks - in...

It was worth it

Well we managed it part of the way home - and then broke down. Thank goodness for the AA and thank goodness we hadn't towed my Portafold (in the end) as we may never have got there. Love Audi's but this one just couldn't manage it.... Great to meet you all and both the folds and vehicles gave food f...

Saturday or Sunday?

I hope to come to the show but wonder if anyone has any suggestions on which is the best day (as I've not been before)?

The only thing I have thought of is that as some will stay Saturday night and go home Sunday the traffic leaving Saturday might be lighter...

Any thoughts? - thanks

Hi Inky,

I'm a newbie and that looks great! You must get so much satisfaction from doing it up yourself. :D
