Re: I have just got a Portafold
Yes - I have blisters on blisters! I took off loads of boarding inside mine only to find a thin sheet of what looks like PVA glue or evostick (apparently). Tried jif, fairy, nail varnish remover, terps, and a few other things to no avail (Dilunett good if removing gloss paint, but no good if water b...

Re: Gluey subject...
Hi Steve - hope you are well. Due to the uneven surface a scraper isn't going to do it and the texture of the glue is annoying - not dry enough to "flake" and only just sticky enough to roll into little balls, but not sticky enough that you can peel it... Anything like sand paper will just end up a ...

Gluey subject...
My Portafold is depressing me :( It was bought last year and I went out today to continue (for the first time this year) the clean up and taking apart of what others before me have done. Took wood chip panels off the upper sides (not to my taste!) to find a mess of fine glue all over underneath. Thi...

Many thanks for that. I'm not at all technically minded - but thought the weights must be the wrong way round. :D Helpful tip too, regarding the gears. "Meg" is the figaro - hence "Misty Meg" (and yes they were never sold in the UK - only a limited number in Japan). She's my baby and with the turbo ...

It's not the Honda but the Fig I am thinking about - and yet to get confirmed the manufacturers towing limit as it's not confirmed in any of the documentation I've bought which has been converted to English, and local Nissan were as helpful as the proverbial chocolate tea pot... Although my Uncle di...
