How did I know that you would be the first to reply? :thumbup: Thanks for the advice. I have bought new clevis pins with an M8 thread plus a new turnbuckle. My porty doesn't have the torsion bar axle (it's a 68) but utilises the individual suspension units. I will heed your advice about not fitting ...

I have finally got round to starting work on the Porty today. The suspension units are quite rusty, the backplates on the brakes have fallen apart and the brake linkage is broken. I have bought new M8 threaded rods and clevis's (should that be clevi) so the linkage is not a problem but I happen to h...

Put me down for this as well. Notwithstanding, I have to do a complete restoration and I haven't even started yet! Oh well. it should prove a good incentive to have a target date.

That is looking great. I can't wait to start on mine. What size are those wheels? I have looked at buying some alloys (I know yours are steel) but they all sem to come in a 5J size as opposed to the 4.5 inch standard mini wheel. If you tell me those are five inch wide by ten inch I will be one happy...

Well the Porty was delivered last night. The seller sent a note with it saying "Repairs are worse than I thought as the roof has blown off for the second time and now has a nine inch split, as well as damage to the side panels. :thumbdown: Also, all of the hinges are siezed!" Notwithstanding it came...
