We use a free standing awning that is made for camper vans which is larger and fits over the back of the Portafold, but it doesn't seal so if it rains the water comes in and runs down the door :roll:

All that's stamped on the awning is NR Awnings,so i will see if i can find out some more info

It's great isn't it? We've had ours for 6 years and we wouldn't be without it now. We use ours 10 to 15 times a year at different shows and even holiday in it, wouldn't even swap it for a modern caravan :lol:

Yep the last two digits are the year. By coincidence we went to a Powderham in our portafold this weekend, and when we were folding it down a guy was watching, afterwards he inquired how many were left as he didn't think there were many if any surviving :lol: He then said how it was good to see some...

I know of a few portafolds with either the bottles or battery mounted at the front with no problems,i was going to fit a motorcycle top box to the front of ours to put the battery in,but ours has the shorter draw bar so i have no room. The only problem i could see is it might make it tricky to lift ...

I don't really know about ansfolds,but my portafold has dampers fitted,and as for the distortion, fibreglass is like most of us it's a funny thing when it gets old.It does tend to distort,crack,craze and sag over the years,sorry i can't be more helpfull :oops:
