Anybody out their had problems with door hinge pins? well i did and the solution was easy. the hinges have a countersunk headed pin , with a brass ball and spring in the middle , and a locking tab and nut on the bottom. these looked vaguely familiar , and i found their the same as Land Rover series ...

Not sure about ansfolds , but here's what's on my portafold. the wheel rims are stamped next to the studholes with part number 21A2744 , the grease cap for the wheel bearings does not protrude through the centre of the rim. the hub cap for the above rim is 88G337 , available from e bay , www.minispa...

hi just bought a wheel cover for my portafold , it fits a treat. found it on e-bay , but it is manufactured by a company called maypole(www.maypole.ltd.uk) part number MP94710. if anyone interested , they'll probably have stockists for most areas.

just been reading through the topic of brakes , if the shoes happen to be different , some of the motor factors can still reline brake shoes , having worked in the agricultural industry , sometimes it was the only alternative , as you can get some real old machinery and vintage tractors turning up ....

towing car

i just bought my portafold recently , having travelled down from perthshire to just near leicester , approx 380miles . on towing back home was amazed , as managed 41mpg with my fiesta 1.4 , averaging about 55-60mph all the way. great to have a site where you can swap ideas , experiences etc.
