Portafold for sale - NOW SOLD

Hi all, I'm a Morris Minor club member & this Portafold's advertised in the MM club mag, been in 2 issues now. It's in Merseyside, it comes with sink, cooker, fittings, paperwork & folding instructions. Colour is cream & blue, £700. 01704 225494. Has anyone seen it? I don't know anything about it, j...

Non-standard awnings

Having dithered for a very long time, we eventually bought a Caranex H4TS awning tent. This size is the largest Caranex & fits things like Bedford Bambis, large panel vans & so on. I have to say it doesn't fit the Ansfold very well. We used it last weekend for the Minor club's National rally. It rai...

Fridge

Hi Snorbs, We've just returned from the first use of our Ansfold with fridge in (see Mods & Upgrades for the 'how' of it). Delighted, & relieved, to report complete success! The unit I chose was the Dometic 30 ltr gas & 12v powered. There's another model this size which has mains operation as well b...

Aquaroll problem

Hi all, I'm probably being silly, but I haven't found anywhere in the folded Ansfold to stow the Aquaroll! It's a standard 40litre which used to fit just inside the door (only just). Now, with the gas-bottles boxed on the drawbar, I've a lot of noseweight & need to put this large, light object forwa...

Plastic windows?

Hi all, a question.......

Anyone know of a supplier for those double-skinned plastic windows now fitted to all caravans? They look like a good way of reducing weight & condensation at the same time.

Ansfold hubcaps

Hi Knotty, thanks for letting us know, I often wondered how you'd got on with those Cooper hubcaps & I'm sorry to hear they don't fit. Are they stainless steel or mild steel with chrome plate on? If they're stainless - very light, thin-gauge metal, matt-finish on the inside - you could have a go at ...

Wheelbearing grease seals

Rubery Owen, the Port/Ans axle makers, used these odd-looking seals for improved water-resistance, as these axles were also used on boat-launching trailers. For our use, conventional seals will be OK if correct dimensionally. You should measure the diameter of the hub bore, the available depth of th...

Hubcaps

Hi, people like me with Ansfold hubcap probs,

In the Sale forum, Matt's put a link to an Ansfold on eBay with an original hubcap (just the one). I don't recognise it as a car 'cap at all, so I assume it came from the axle makers, Rubery Owen.

Anyone else know more? Please tell me I'm wrong!

Wroughton '08

Hi Matt, I asked the Wroughton organisers & they said staying Sunday night was no problem but we had to be off site by 10.00am Monday.

Flocking

Well found, Matt, it looks fantastic!

Err, I don't suppose you've asked them how much it would cost to do a roof?

Looks like it might be relatively dear........!
