Tow Hitch and Brake
HI all. I have just acquired a second Porta and it is in need of an overhaul of the towing brake mechanism, after it having been stood for some time. Does anyone have any literature, or recommendations on how best to do this? The handle operation is fine, but there is no forward and backward movemen...

Re: What Do You Tow Yours With?
Well all you 4 wheel towers, I tow mine with a Honda Goldwing TRIKE. Yes an 1832cc motorcycle, and trust me it hauls it just fine. Get a few strage looks from time to time, but it is eye catching, even at the bike rallies.

Who's the lucky boy then????
Found 2 porta on a sale web site last week, got contact info next day, with times I was bale to phone. I phoned 5 mins after the starting time, only to be told that there was someone arriving the next day, yesterday, at 6 pm to look at both. Re: Alloy Rims ???
Thanks for this advice. I have a set of alloys, and will give them a go next week when we get back from o few days in the Lake District, with the Porta. I have 2 differend thickness spacers as well. Would you recommend fitting these, if there is clearance issue? Thanks

Re: Told you it was in bad condition
I would think that it would be a great personal achievement and bring a lot of satisfaction to get this one back on the road. Please keep us informed, and good luck.

Alloy Rims ???
Having read about this on the forum, and being new to the Portafold camp, I noticed a few people have alloy/chrome wheels on the units, and would very much like to do the same on mine. Being a simple pen pusher, as I am, technical jargon just gets lost on me. So in as simple as is possible, is there...

Re: Fitting a fridge
Hi Jan It is an 1800 Goldwing EML Trike, and I pulled the Porta last week with it for the first time. Steady away at 60 on the motorways and no problems in the hills in the Peak District where we were. You just have to ride a bit more cautiously, and gear down when approaching corners and junctions....

Re: Fitting a fridge
Matthew
Thanks saw that on the forum, but I tow mine with a motorcycle, so no room in the boot, until I get to the venue. If I could find a fridge that will fit in the well, and not require any mods to the side wall pelmets, this would be first prize. All suggestions welcome. Thanks

Fitting a fridge
Hi. I an the proud new owner of my first Portafold, and have just done a 5 day trip with her and she is great. The one thing I was wondering, was, is it possible to fit a 3 way camping fridge into the portafold? Would it be suited to be transported in the centre well, but the wall palmet get in the ...
