Re: All is revealed (well nearly)
Well, despite having had a bit of heart surgery last week I have have had a go at lifting the side walls today (you've got to make the most of being off work). Both walls went up OK and the nearside one isn't too bad with regards to hinges. The offside wall does have five seized hinges, but as they ...

Re: All is revealed (well nearly)

The main problem was the cracking which had been caused by the previous owner not tying the roof down and it blew off in the wind. Removing the roof revealed the damaged to the end wall which has now been repaired. ...

Re: Portafold Badge
It must be an age thing... Having removed the roof and started work on it I can only find ONE badge. I swear I saw two on it before! I think the little alzheimer pixies that live at the bottom of the garden have stolen one in the night !!!

All is revealed (well nearly)
I have now removed the roof of my porty to carry out the repairs necessary to the rather large cracks in the side and corners. The cracks have been strengthened from behind. Whilst I am at it I have gone round and fibreglassed anywhere there was a hole, like the rear fins which had been drilled for ...

Re: Suspension and Brakes
Well I've finally got round to fitting the suspension on both sides. I am now running on mini hubs although I still need to connect the brake linkage up. Here it is fitted: suspension012.jpg I will be borrowing a 12" wheel to try for size and if it fits OK my local mini man will sell me three with g...

Re: Portafold Badge
Am I unusual in that my Porty has two badges, one front and one back? I will certainly need replacements.

Re: Heating
Beware of gas powered products! Without adequate ventilation they turn the air into Carbon Monoxide and WILL kill you. I have used a small oil filled radiator to good effect with electric hook up. Without mains there are some 12v heaters available, usually ceramic, designed for car use but they will...

Re: WANTED - Ansfold
Ansfold's are pretty rare as you probably know if you have been looking for one. One might come up but it could be a long wait. Is there any reason you don't want a portafold?
