My mate has one of these or somthing very similar and it was called a sherman. The ends come erect on some sort of roller system but it does not work very well and is very heavy to put up. You make it sound very easy! I will give it a go..........
At the moment, both halves of the door catch each oher and a previous owner has not been too careful, causing a bit of damage.
Hopefully, this will help to keep the two halves "apart"
