We'll be there sometime on the Friday afternoon too. Hope to see you all there, especially if there is a pint going  Ours will be towed by a blue Triumph 2500S

Re: Our new Portafold

We've done it! We finally managed to get a night away in the Portafold. Every thing worked fine except for a hinge pulling through the fiberglass as we packed it down to come home. I'll have to put it up again later to investigate the damage! :problem:

Re: Shelf/Area at the end of the van

Hi All,

Did all Portafolds come with the sink unit/shelf? There doesn't seem to be any provision for a waste pipe in our 'van

Thanks

Re: Our new Portafold

Hi Anders,

As far as I know the brackets were a 1960's and 70's fitting. I've never seen them in any shops. Might be worth keeping an eye on eBay etc. to see if any turn up.

Thanks

Re: Our new Portafold

Hi Anders, That little bracket had me confused for a while. Apparently it is there to hold up to 3 little flags. I am told that this was quite a common thing to do in the 60s and 70s. I'm assuming that the flags would be the pennant type things that were available at caravan rallies. It was a neighb...

Re: Our new Portafold

I was pleased when we found that it was an original awning. The previous owner said that it was a caravan awning that could be made to fit! I've looked at all the photos available on the site but none seem to look like ours! It doesn't have a makers name on it. Were all the awnings made by the same ...

Re: Portafold awning pic's wanted

Hi,

The pics of my awning are in the Owners Gallery section in a thread named "my new Portafold". I'll be putting it up again tomorrow night because it needs proofing. If you need more photos then let me know and I'll try and get them tomorrow.

Re: Awning Poles

Thanks Chaps,

The awning seems to have a felt/sponge pad sown into the roof seam that hangs down to protect the portafold from the end of the pole. I'll trot off to our local caravan place and see what poles I can dig up.

Thanks
