Re: Me saying Hi.

Hi, personally I would say that is far too high a price for the condition. Stay with this group. Will get a much better one off here for that price. I paid about £1400 for mine. Ready to use but have seen better for less. Think I paid a premium because it was local and available when we wanted one. ...

Yes I made my one to fit around the pole so as to stop it from swinging from side to side
👍 I shel modify it tomorrow and see how it goes. We are staying in it in the garden next week because we should be on the Isle of Man for the TT. We are going to be sad and watch TT videos ☹️

Re: Roof lifter

Thanks for your reply. Taking another look at the photos of the red Portafold it looks like the hook is tethered to the pole which makes sense . I’ll try that. I also made mine to sit on the A frame. Re: Roof lifter

Hi all, hope everyone is well. I have made one of these roof winches as my wife says I’m too old to be lifting the Portafold roof !! Anyway to keep her happy. I have made one. I can put one end up easy. When it comes to putting the other end up it just seems so flimsy and precarious. I’m worried the...

11th International Gathering of Portafolds & Ansfolds (2019)

Just like to thank Mathew for all his efforts. First time at Retrofest and had a brilliant weekend despite the weather which wasn’t nearly as bad as we expected. Nice to meet other members and looking forward to meeting others next year or sooner.

Re: Window covers .

I saw a chap with a Portafold at a car show recently. He had car sun roof wind deflectors on his. They looked good. He got them from China. Might be worth a look.

Re: Wheel Bearings

Hi, I can’t tell you the size but if you knock the races out there will be a number stamped on them. You will be able to get them on line from someone like bearing boys. Hope this helps.
