Re: Roof lifting when windy!!!

Note to Chauffeur:

Smithers, I note that the roof of one's Portafold is showing signs of having pattered up and down a bit in the 80mph breeze that rattled through one's country seat, last night - better keep the old Bentley below 75 next time we tow the Portafold down to Henley, what.

Re: Paint

Soda Blasting II I've found another downside to soda-blasting - I've had several sessions attempting to fill the millions (well hundreds) of pin-holes that the blasting exposed and, as a consequence, the painting hasn't happened, yet. The downside is that the lightly keyed surface that the blasting ...

Re: Bargain wheels & tyres!

A surf of some of the trailer parts websites suggests that they are still rather popular and new 10" after-market steel wheels, with a 23mm offset, are readi...

Re: Paint

Found a neat way to fill those pin-holes - rub the filler on with a rag. I can't claim to have invented the process cos I got the idea from a chance remark by the local boat-fettler, he uses a rag to spread filler onto hulls after they have been blasted as part of the osmosis treatment process. Anyw...

Re: Collective Noun

Not sure we should go down this route because 'they' probably think we're mad for owning those little-folding-plastic-boxes-on-wheels anyway   ... and as for spending money on them   Thinking about what a group of parked Portafolds looks like... how about a Huddle of...? ...
